15 Tips on How to Rock a Small PPC Budget
A smaller PPC budget and getting maximum results is challenging, but it can be done! Learn 15 tips to optimize budgets for your PPC program.
Why I care: Far too often small to mid-size businesses get discouraged and upsold into marketing budgets that exceed their comfort level. Specifically without any sort of certainty of a return on the investment. (I'm looking at you YELP haha)
I'm sharing this article because it speaks to how a business can maximize the results with a smaller budget and still be a player in the game. All businesses had to start somewhere. One of my goals with my clients is to help them get to the point where they can pay out of their profits instead of their pockets. This lends to that mindset and conversation. So I'm passing it along to you as well.
Persuasive Advertising: What It Is & How to Do It [+Examples]
Persuasive advertising techniques can give your campaign a competitive edge. Check out this piece to learn key persuasive advertising techniques, and to see some effective examples.
What are some advertisements that live rent-free in your mind? As a millennial, ads that will always have a place in my heart include Britney Spears' iconic run as a Pepsi spokesperson, the enduring"got milk?" campaign (which is ironic considering myself and many others now prefer non-dairy alternatives), and the classic iPod silhouettes.
These ads were not only compelling but were also incredibly influential. As marketers, we know that if we want to persuade an audience, we need to evoke an emotional response from them. But how do you actually do that?
Why I care: Without giving consumers a reason to want to trust purchasing from you as a brand. You'll continue to have ideas that may or may not take off and have a shelf life.
Persuasive marketing is a strategy of focusing on the consumer's interests and needs. Creating messaging around helping them get from thinking about it to doing something about it.
Brand Building Strategies

Forecasting, documenting, and analyzing your content initiatives can help grow your brand’s visibility and your skills as an SEO.
Assessing the effectiveness of your content strategy is an integral part of growing your organic visibility as well as furthering your skills as an SEO.
Why I care: Far too many businesses/brands don't have a content site strategy at the time that they're building the website. Others set it and forget it without testing it periodically to make sure that it's working for them and not creating more work instead.
Here's the thing about strategic thinking. It is a beast that requires continuous feeding. One answer can lead to more intelligent questions. That said when the results lead to happy customers and longevity in business. It's hard to complain about it.
This article helps to point brands and website owners in the direction of asking more of the right questions. It is okay if you don't immediately have the answers. Figuring out what you don't know is one of the biggest steps in attaining and exceeding goals and expectations.
Should You Create a Niche or Multi-Topic Website?
Are you getting beat in local rankings because competitors are violating the Google My Business rules? You can fight back. Learn how.
Why I care: I'm sharing this article because it highlights the importance of site structure. Choosing the right structure for your brand and branding strategy matters. This article highlights a few of the reasons why.
If you've gone down one path and realize it's not working. Only the prideful are afraid to pivot. If this pandemic has taught us anything. It is the importance of making adjustments for survival.
Helpful Tips
Google Can't See Content Behind Captchas
Hiding content behind captchas is a bad SEO practice as Google's web crawler can't see what's behind them.
Googlebot doesn’t interact with anything when it crawls web pages.
If it lands on a page with a captcha blocking the main content, it will assume that’s the only thing on the page.
There are ways around this, however. While captchas are problematic there’s no reason to stop using them.
Why I care: While I understand the need for gated content and doing what you can to keep the spammers away. What you don't want to do is block the search engine web crawlers from being able to access your content.
This article speaks to the workarounds and options that you may want to keep in mind if implementing the strategy.
38 Account-Based Marketing Stats to Know in 2021
To show you just how beneficial account-based marketing can be, while also informing you of the challenges it comes with, here are 38 stats you should know.

This B2B marketing strategy is where the sales and marketing team searches for accounts that best fit. It is a niche approach that goes after high-value prospects instead of chasing volume. The quality of the over quantity approach makes for easier conversations and more qualified leads.
I'm sharing this article because it covers stats that can help you decide if this strategy is for you.

Social media marketing: four keys to boost lead generation and sales
In order to gain sales and increase leads, social media marketing must be fully integrated within a company’s overall marketing strategy – including search.

Social media’s return on investment is best measured over time in the form of customer loyalty, customer relationship management, and an improved corporate perception in the general marketplace.
Why I care: I'm sharing this article because it speaks not only to ways to boost lead generation and sales. But how to reasonably track it beyond revenue. I think people lose faith and give up if they can't see the direct correlation between a post and a conversion.
When running social media platform marketing strategies. It is also important to look at engagement, shares, and awareness that leads to word-of-mouth referrals and contact. There are website visitors that come to your website and look into your brand because of your posts.

Search Engine Optimization/SEO
What is SEO Log File Analysis? A Beginner's Guide
Performing regular log file analysis helps SEO professionals better understand how their website is crawled and more. Learn the basics here.
Log files are records of who accessed a website and what content they accessed. They contain information on who has made the request to access the website (also known as ‘The Client’)
Why I care: Gaining an understanding of log files is gaining an understanding of who's interacting with your website. The better the understanding. The better you can craft your website to get the desired results for your brand/business.
I'm sharing this article because it is a beginner's guide. On its surface, it sounds like a lot of work and could intimidate the average website owner. But when you attach ROI and realize the other parts of your business it affects. It is something that you can't just shrug off if you plan to be successful.
Whether you handle it in-house or outsource it. Understanding the importance of the information doesn't change. Neither does, prioritizing it when thinking through your user experience and marketing strategies.
What are Transition Words? Learn How to Use Them for SEO Content
Are you using transition words and phrases in your writing to improve readability and SEO content quality? Here’s how to do so.
What are they, and why are they integral for great readability, content, and SEO?
Why I care: You can write a great article chock full of helpful information and insights. But if it's tough to read. It's going to be skipped over more often than the non-athletic kid in the schoolyard. When they're picking teams.
Articles with a nice flow from one section to the next. Helps hold the reader's interest and makes the content more memorable. The ideal isn't just for that reader to see the article. But to read it and get enough from it that they can repeat it or feel comfortable passing it along with a synopsis.
