Advertising Tips
Facebook Publishes New Guide to Testing Ad Creative, and Optimizing Response
The guide provides a range of tips and notes on how to test your ad creative, as well as templates and worksheets to guide your approach.
Why I care: Facebook is known as one of the best resources for running ad campaigns. Mainly because of the size of the audiences that can be reached. Which makes it something that is beneficial to a business no matter the size.
The struggle a lot of marketers have is with ad creative. Investing in creating ads that aren't getting approved and or getting results. By having a way to test, review and optimize. It adds to the potential return on your investment.
Apple pushes pop up for Personalized Ads in its apps on iOS 15
Apple has launched a new pop-up in iOS 15 to allow users to turn on or off personalized ads within the App Store and other Apple apps.
The pop up seems to be completely server side, rather than built into the beta release. It did not show devices as they were updated on the day the new iOS 15 beta was released. AppleInsider can confirm it currently does not happen on iOS 14.
Why I care: The option to personalize ads and remove them from within apple apps. Affects the value of in-app adverting. It can also be the first step in opening that option up to more apps. Changing the value of the ads.
Brand Building Strategies
Link Building for SEO: The Beginner’s Guide (2021)
Links are the currency of the web. The websites that have plenty of them are deemed “authoritative” and are rewarded with high rankings in Google. While websites that don’t have any are bound to obscurity.
Why I care: Small to Mid-size businesses (SMBs) tend to struggle with SEO rankings. Even if they may have the best product or service on the market for consumers. People go to who they know and that doesn't always mean the best option.
Link Building is a practice that allows brands to build up awareness. It lets more people know about them as well as the search engines. Making it a must when you're a business owner trying to compete in their market.
How to Create a Funnel Report [Quick Guide]
Funnel report got you down? Get a quick rundown on what they are, how to create them, and some examples to help you create your own.
Why I care: Funnel reports are an important part of lead generation management. The reports provide insights into the customer journey.
Strengths and points where you may be losing prospects. Things that you can address to help forecast potential sales. Make the customer journey that much easier to convert.
What Is Social Media Analytics & Why Is It Important?
Brands need social media analytics to thrive as a brand. We'll show you why, and how to use it in this part of our series!
Why I care: Social media analytics is a term that is often misunderstood. But don’t worry – this post will help you avoid that. We’ll break down just what this crucial business tool is; what it isn’t; why you need to use it; and, how!
Social media offers a huge pool of consumers ripe for brand communication. But social media isn’t about brands. It’s about people sharing their lives with others they know based on common interests and they resent interruptions, particularly when someone is trying to sell them something!
Helpful Tips
I Have Plenty of Customers — Do I Still Need a Website?
I don’t believe in doing things just because you should. I believe in being intentional about your ideal clients and customers and meeting them where they are — whether that’s through a website, social media, or something else entirely.
Why I care: This is a great article by Jessica that speaks to the frequently asked question of "Do I really need a website?" Something worth checking out if you're an entrepreneur without a website operating within social commerce or an agency owner with prospects that are on the fence.
Jessica provides a fresh perspective and use cases that should be taken into consideration. There are more use cases than just lead generation. Changing your mindset can set you on a path that opens up more doors and opportunities than may currently be on your radar.
Winning the Page Speed Race
Winning the page speed race requires the same things as winning a car race: making sure that your vehicle is as lightweight as possible, as powerful as possible, and that you navigate the racetrack as efficiently as possible.
Why I care: Page speed is top of mind for all parts of the process and for good reason. This is an example of the consumer driving the changes in the industry through results.
Typically you have 3 to 5 seconds at most to make an impression with a website visitor. Imagine they've spent that time waiting on the page to load. More than not you'll lose that visitor before they even get to decide on the value of your content.
Here are some helpful tips on how to increase your page speed and win more business in the process.
Marketing Strategies
What is Search Retargeting & How Does It Work?
Looking for new ways to drive website visitors and conversions? Enter: search retargeting. Learn what it is and how you can use it to drive new audiences to your site.
Why I care: Search Retargeting is a great way of staying top of mind with consumers who have already expressed an interest/intent. A strategically crafted marketing campaign will leave room for retargeting based on keywords.
The search retargeting goal is for top to mid-funnel prospects who are in the awareness phase of the customer journey. If you keep that in mind and create the next steps with landing pages that continue the journey. You increase your chances of converting a prospect into a client.
