Popup Maker WordPress plugin patched an XSS vulnerability that could allow an attacker to upload malicious JavaScript.
Why I care: If not properly monitored and updated plugins can open the door for malware and hackers to wreak havoc on your website and potentially steal sensitive data. This is why care plans and website maintenance plans are so prevalent and necessary. Having someone monitoring the website and plugins and getting out ahead of these types of issues.
